Local 848 would like to welcome our newest Teamsters…..”Shippers Transport Express”. Shippers ratified their first contract today, February 08, 2015 and are the 2nd Port Company in 36 years to have fought and won employee recognition and the right to become Union. Shippers Transport Express is comprised of 124 drivers and is still growing. Some of the highlights of this newly ratified contract are; 100% Medical, Paid Holidays and a Pension. Today truly marked another great historical moment for all port drivers but especially for the men and woman of Shippers Transport Express.
