Twenty one Teamster Local 848 women united in San Francisco with over 800 women from across the country for the 12th annual International Brotherhood of Teamsters Women’s Conference themed, Teamster Women: Building Power by the Bay. The women were addressed by Teamsters General President Jim Hoffa, Senator Barbara Boxer and Lieutenant Governor Gavin Newsome to name a few. All stressed the importance of women getting involved and noted the significance of the upcoming elections and what it will mean to Teamster women and their families.
