New Music Honoring Teamsters Local 848: “We Ride The Yard”

Teamsters Local 848 is proud to share the release of a new song created in recognition of the men and women who keep our industries moving. The single, titled We Ride The Yard, was written and produced by Ray Brown and released through his new label, Sixty Music.

The track serves as a tribute to the members of Local 848 and the wider Teamsters community. It highlights the pride, discipline, and dedication that define the work performed every day across Long Beach, Glendora, and beyond. In recent years, Ray spent significant time learning about the Teamsters, watching the commitment of our leadership, staff, and members. That experience became the inspiration behind creating an anthem that reflects the unity and strength of the workforce.

Eric Tate, Secretary-Treasurer of Local 848, played a key role in sharing these experiences. His leadership and the day-to-day efforts of the entire staff demonstrated the impact a strong union has on the lives of working people. We Ride the Yard is the result of those experiences and stands as a musical recognition of the essential work performed by Teamsters across the region.

Ray’s background as an international touring musician, songwriter, and producer, along with his family’s deep musical history, helped shape this project. His return to music through Sixty Music focuses on telling meaningful stories and using modern tools, including collaboration and AI, to elevate the voices of real people. This release is part of that mission.

We Ride the Yard is now available on all major streaming platforms. Members, families, and supporters are invited to listen and share.
