During the weeks of April 16-20 and 23-27, Janette Barnes from the IBT will be visiting shops with DRIVE language in their contracts to assist you in voter registration and describe what DRIVE participation means to you. She will also be describing some of the most anti-union legislation ever being proposed in the state of California as well as across the US. Anti-labor forces are hard at work attempting to cripple our power and silence our voices. Please take the time to truly listen to what she has to say. If your contract does not provide for DRIVE, please contact your business agent to see how you can help. The fight for your rights and livelihood won’t be easy and won’t come cheap, but the alternative is a lower standard of living for all of us. Support the DRIVE campaign and let’s all give labor a fighting chance to survive.
